The lure of immortal youth was too good to pass up. Yeah, yeah, it’s marketing–but irresistible nonetheless.
I’ve been regularly using two items from Missha’s Time Revolution Immortal Youth line: the Blue Essence and the Cream ($55 and $65, respectively–both courtesy of Missha). While they haven’t turned me into Benjamin Button, they have protected my skin–which is already prone to flaking due to tretinoin and natural dryness–from the parched winter air.
Missha Time Revolution Immortal Youth Blue Essence Review
Blue Essence is sadly not blue. It claims to have 0.2-micron blue particles, but all I see is a cool blue-white tone under bright lights. Definitely not visible nor color correcting once applied.
This serum feels light and hydrating going on and absorbs well. I use 1-2 pumps each time (1 is probably enough for most people).
Using Blue Essence day and night ensured that my skin was hydrated. My personal measure is whether or not the side of my nose is flaky, and I’m happy to report that it stayed flake-free.

Missha Time Revolution Immortal Youth Cream Review
After applying Blue Essence, I apply the cream. I received a jar of just 25 ml (aka made for ants), but the website says the full size is 50 ml. A spatula is helpfully included, but I still would have preferred a jar with a larger mouth.
Almost all creams for dry skin that I’ve used have left a disco shine on my face, so I was pleasantly surprised when this cream didn’t–and still managed to smooth and moisturize. And although silicones appear high on the ingredient list, it feels like a normal cream and not artificially smooth and plasticky. I’ll be sad when my jar is finished.
