Blue Steel: Stila Sparkle Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Curacao Review

To go with the red and white dress I wore on the Fourth of July, I popped on a bright blue liquid eyeliner.

Rejected title: The Fourth of Blue-ly.

Stila Sparkle Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Curacao is a bold, cobalt, shimmery blue.  I’ve owned this eyeliner in several other colors (bronze, purple, sparkly black), and they’re all great.

Pros: Long-lasting (need to use a bi-phase makeup remover).  Strong pigmentation.

Cons: Takes a long time to dry.  Sometimes needs a second layer for opaque color.  Liquid can gunk up along the applicator and cause the cap to crack over time (like after a year).  Hard to paint sharp flicks in a cat eye due to the width of the felt tip.  Can get on lashes and leave clumps; need to comb through lashes before applying mascara.
