Foam Sweet Foam: Hada Labo Gokujyun Foaming Face Wash Review

01 Hada Labo Gokujyun Foaming Face Wash Review Hada Labo Gokujyun Foaming Face Wash is an auto-foaming face wash whose star ingredient is–like all products in the Gokujyun line–“Super Hyaluronic Acid,” which supposedly holds twice as much moisture as regular hyaluronic acid. The saleswoman at oo35mm recommended this to me after I told her I was looking for a gentle foaming cleanser for dry skin.

It turned out to be a great recommendation. After drying off, my face is left feeling clean and soft. And the lazy side of me loves that it’s already foamy. Although some websites describe it as leaving a film of hyaluronic acid behind, there is no noticeable film on the face. I’m not sure whether it affirmatively moisturizes my skin, but it definitely doesn’t dry it out. I usually use 1 to 1-1/2 pumps, and I like to lather it up further in my hands.

One pump

I doubt that this can remove makeup well since it’s not oily. But I use it as a morning cleanser and as a second cleanse at night, and it’s perfect for that.
03 Hada Labo Gokujyun Foaming Face Wash IngredientsPros: Gentle and leaves skin soft. Convenient for when you’re feeling lazy/sleepy.

Cons: Not strong enough to remove makeup.

Update: Just bought another 2 bottles. Love the gentle cleansing and its pH is a skin-friendly 5.5.

      1. I have really only tried their cleansers and toners/moisturizing lotions.
The one in their moisturizing line is really good.

    1. I’ve never deliberately sniffed it. But having used it hundreds of times now, I don’t notice any scent at all in the normal course of using it (including while washing right under my nose!).
