Again the Tony Moly packaging sucked me in. This time it’s the Tomatox Brightening mask. I love products that contain tomatoes (like the Burt’s Bees tomato toner) because they contain antioxidants and all that other good stuff. What’s good for the belly is good for the face no?
Here’s the amazingly awesome package. Nice thing about these is that you can recycle them as containers for other products when you travel as well!
The consistency is quite lovely. Not too runny. Creamy enough to put on the face but not so thick that you can’t spread it. There are small beads in there (for exfoliation?) but not a tremendous amount. The scent is fresh and not overpowering.
As for the brightening effect? I can’t REALLY tell. It does make my skin very soft and supple. I wouldn’t count on it to lighten age spots or freckles but it’s a nice cute addition to your collection.
Pros: reasonably priced at $15. Super cute packaging (to be expected from this brand). Softening effect.
Cons: doesn’t really brighten. If so, the effect is slight and temporary.
THAT PACKAGING though!!! lol so cute!!! :))
I agree, I would buy this just for the packaging! Too bad it does not brighten, I am always looking for something to help brighten the skin.
Aroon you may want to look at Lytera from SkinMedica which is a very gentle whitening/brightening cream. My dermatologist gave it to me to lighten my freckles. Any product containing AHA/BHA exfoliants also help with skin surface regeneration which will help with brightening effects 🙂
I will look into that for sure! Thanks!
Love the packaging! xo
