Indi-go-go – Tatcha Indigo Soothing Silk Hand Cream

The nice folks at Tatcha sent me a care package out of the blue (har har.) The number of packages, big and small, at work are making my banking bosses side-eye. Whatevs. T’is the season for brown packages, bauss. But thank you Tatcha for the nice surprise below. I will commence reviewing that ultra luxurious hand cream: the Tatcha Indigo Soothing Silk Hand Cream. They even included a sweet hand-written note. Wetting Zoo: SNP Face Art Mask-Rabbit Whitening & Cat Wrinkle Review

We were browsing at New Kam Man in Chinatown (NY) last weekend when–of course–this cat mask by SNP caught our eye. Thankfully, because I’m overloaded with sheet masks as it is, they were available individually, so I picked up one along with a rabbit mask ($3.25 or $3.50 apiece).

SNP Rabbit Whitening Cat Wrinkle Face Art Mask Review 01
The salty one in the middle is not for sale.

These were part of a (modest) haul from oo35mm and New Kam Man.  Unh, I love NY for Asian beauty shopping.  (But not as much as I love LA! Renee and I are going to break the bank when we’re there together during Christmas. 😉 Just you watch…)

Cry for Kelp – Tony Moly Kelp Mask Sheet (Boosting)

Yesterday while in Chinatown, NY waiting for Amy and Evelyn to arrive for dinner at the local authentic Chinese cuisine eating hole, I *accidentally* wandered into oo35mm and The Yeon and came out with this Tony Moly mask made of kelp. Yeah, as in, the mask sheet itself is MADE of seaweed. I was so intrigued. Is it deep sea kelp that mermaids make their skirt out of? Is it that annoying green plastic sheet stuff that tangle up on your legs after a storm in Miami Beach? Look at that delicious slick bouncy seaweed in that bowl on the package!

Displeased Pink: Peripera Ah Much Real My Cushion Blusher 01 Pleased Pink Review + Swatches

01 Peripera Ah Much Real My Cushion Blusher Pleased Pink ReviewI was happy when Renee reported that she had snagged a Peripera cushion blush in the Peach & Lily sample sale.  I’d been eyeing this blush and in particular the beautiful creamy pastel goodness of the various shades (aaaaand the irresistibly cute doge name).

The full name is Peripera Ah! Much Real My Cushion Blusher.  It’s $16 for 20 ml at Peach & Lily, and I have the shade 01 Pleased Pink, a milky, pastel peachy pink.  (Some shops might call the shade 001 Sweet Pink, which is what the English-language overwrap says.)  With the consistency of a thin lotion, this liquid blush is dispensed by squeezing the tube to push the product through a floofy (real word) puff.  So it’s not a real cushion (unlike my DIY cushion blush!), but it is applied by patting the puff onto the skin.  Blend with your fingers or a brush.  (Blending with the puff doesn’t work because that just moves it around the cheek.) Less Is Lovemore: Review of Lovemore Black Pearls True White + Pearl Barley & Milk Smoothing Mask Sheets

01 Lovemore Sheet Mask ReviewGiven that they’re made of silk, I wish I had a better impression of these Lovemore sheet masks. I first heard about them from raves about the silk’s second-skin fit, which, to be sure, is its standout quality.  The two flavors that I tried were Black Pearls and Pearl Barley & Milk.

Lovemore is a bit pricier than most sheet masks–I got them at Image Beauty when they were on sale for $10 for a box of 5, and they’re $3 apiece at U.S.-based MelodyCosme here and here (no affiliation)–so naturally I had high expectations.  (For comparison, I’m used to paying $1-$1.50 per mask by My Beauty Diary or My Scheming.  People in Taiwan are cackling right now at how much I pay.) The Middle Ages – Small Middle Aged Man Sheet Mask

After having Angela harassing reminding me about this sheet mask, I felt extremely pressured compelled to post about it. This is an extremely short post because I pretty much have ZERO information on it. Angela bought it for me because it was 50% off she loves me so. We spotted it at the cash register at our favorite Chinertown spot in NYC oo35mm.

I already ripped the top off, but the only English words on this sheet mask package was “small middle aged man.” Is it FOR the small middle aged men demographic? Is it a cartoon printed sheet mask that looks like a small middle aged man? Is it made of small middle aged man extract?

Bio-agreeable – TT Mask Collagen Bio Cellulose Mask

I made a long shopping list for Vivian, my shoe designer friend from Shanghai, prior to her visit to NYC. Of course, I got none of the wish list items because my tastes are still pretty esoteric for the Asian market. She did obtain these Timeless Truth TT Bio Cellulose Collagen masks. It came in a box of 3, and based on internet research, costs $11 PER MASK. Muy expensive!
