The Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation is one of the highest rated foundations on MakeupAlley.com. At $62 it’s also one of the most expensive. And…although I do love it for my skin, it certainly isn’t for everyone. Because it’s too damn sheer for an “HD foundation.” Case in point: look below and tell me which pic is the “foundation” pic:
Yes it’s the bottom one, by a small margin.
The foundation goes on like a dream, it’s so comfortable you don’t remember you’re wearing makeup. It’s supposed to be good for your skin because of all these emollients and botanical extracts. I do believe it’s one of the best quality face makeup items out there. But it simply doesn’t have enough coverage for those with high hopes.
So there you have it. I don’t regret spending $62 on this but definitely grab my Chanel foundation for nights out.
Pros: comfortable, lightweight, beautiful sheer finish
Cons: very expensive for what it is (almost like a tinted moisturizer,) minimal coverage.
