I couldn’t resist this purple lippie while I was at the Nature Republic store. This is the By Flower Triple Volume Tint in the shade 03 Lilac.
The color is a creamy, warm, pinkish lilac. On the lips, it’s a medium mauve rose pink.
It can be built from sheer to medium coverage and leaves a soft shine. I like that it’s lightly moisturizing; I can wear this comfortably on bare lips for hours. The texture is nearly weightless and you quickly forget you’re even wearing lip color.
I actually picked up this product because it’s reminiscent of the Laneige Water Drop Tints. Check it out compared to the Laneige Water Drop Tint in Orchid Violet.

The Laneige is lighter and has cooler, more pastel tones. The Nature Republic has stronger pink tones and doesn’t clash as much with my yellow-toned skin. The Laneige feels fancier, with clean white and silver packaging and a light, sweet scent. In comparison, the first time I opened the Nature Republic, I was met with a cheap, artificial chemical smell. Thankfully, that smell faded quickly and is no longer noticeable.
All that said, the formulas are comparable and both make for a creamy, moisturizing lip color. I have a slight preference for the Laneige formula, which is slightly cushier, ever-so-slightly heavier (but is by no means heavy), and clings to the lips more.
Pros: Similar to Laneige Water Drop Tints but cheaper. Easy to apply and comfortable to wear.
Cons: Initially smells bad.
