Goodal got right to the point in naming this BIG POT Moisture Cream. And why not because the giant mouth on this pot is what earns it a thumbs up in my book–making it easier to use to the end than a tube, bottle, or the TonyMoly Wonder Cheese Firming Cream (also a tub but with a narrower mouth). Rubba Dub Dub – Dr. Jart Rubber Mask (Bright Lover)
Sunday nights have always been kind of funny. It’s a gloomy time the weekend is over. It’s stressful because I have about 1,365,752 hours of work to squeeze into the week. It’s also a time for decompression and reflection. This week, this month, this year, has been difficult.
I met with crushing disappointment as icing on this crap of a week cake. But I fervently prayed that I can relax with ease into the unknown, trusting that all will unfold in the right way at the right time, and that the Universe has my back.
In any case, I will ALWAYS have my fking awesome beauty routine. Because looking good is half the battle. As a cheerer-upper, as you Beauty Queens know, making that reflection smile at you is one of the best things you can do to pick yourself back up.
Behold the Dr. Jart Dermask Rubber Mask (Bright Lover)

Show and Tail Pt. 2: Angela’s Picks for Sephora Sale
Oh boy, the Rouge sale starts tomorrow (Nov. 4th). So let’s get to it.
>>Part 1 featuring Dior, Tatcha, AmorePacific, Chosungah22 and more is here.<<

Tarte blushes ($28): I have just a few of these ::cough cough:: They’re solid performers with the right level of buildable pigmentation that you want in a blush. My favorites (based on NC15/NC20 skintone) are Exposed–a no-blush blush that subtly defines and goes with everything–and Natural Beauty–a Snow White red (seriously) that gives a natural flush so long as you apply very lightly. The Color Wheel blush palette ($44) is a crazy good deal. Each shade is less than half the amount of the regular blush, but IMO variety > product weight when it comes to blushes. My only critique is that one of the highlighters has chunky shimmers and a lot of the shades are variations of bright pink. Still worth it.

Show and Tail Pt. 1: Angela’s Picks for Sephora Sale
Every November, I look forward to the chance to shop Sephora for 20% off.
That’s when Sephora’s annual Rouge/VIB/BI sale takes place, so I spend September and October carefully building my cart. In this post, I let the cat out of the (shopping) bag and share my recommendations–a mix of splurges, staples, and smart gifts. And don’t forget that Sephora has a whole K-beauty section featuring Belif, AmorePacific, Caolion, Primary Raw, Dr. Jart+, Erborian, and more and also sells Korean makeup brands such as Chosungah 22, Touch in Sol, and Too Cool for School.
What are *you* picking up at the sale?

Dior Lip Glow ($33) (reviewed here): After many years, 10+ tubes, and endless trials of dupes, this is still a daily staple (actually multiple-times-a-daily staple). This is even better than the History of Whoo version. There are now Lilac and Coral versions, but the original pink still works best for my pale skin.
Chosungah 22 Dual Lip Tint & Gloss ($19) (shown in Chiffon): The lip tint is high quality: applies smoothly, evenly, and with a POW of color. A marked difference from TonyMoly quality ::side eye:: Unfortunately, the lip gloss flakes off. Still worth trying.

Dude, Where’s My Pharma? – Brief Recap of City Pharma in Paris
This post is oh…a few months late…we’d been too busy basking in the full glory of ALL. THE. PRODUCTS gotten for cheap cheap in Paris. The ground floor of Selfridges in London wasn’t bad either, but I may save it for another post.
Behold a pic of Angela (who previously reviewed City Pharma but HAD to come back for MOAR) contemplating Caudalie for breakfast. Pictures ARE NOT allowed in City Pharma. Ahem.

Sweet’N Low (pH): Skinfood Black Sugar Perfect First Serum 2X Essential Review

This is a quick and lazy review. Why? Because I’ve basically already reviewed ::inhales deeply:: Skinfood Black Sugar Perfect First Serum 2X Essential ::exhales:: in its previous incarnation: Black Sugar Perfect First Serum No. 1 Original, reviewed here.
Down to the scent, consistency, and effects–I seriously can’t tell the difference other than the bottle being smaller than I remembered. The amount, 120 ml, is the same though.
A little background: Sometime after I reviewed the original one, Skinfood discontinued it and released 2 new versions: 2X Light for oily skin and 2X Essential for dry skin. Continue reading “Sweet’N Low (pH): Skinfood Black Sugar Perfect First Serum 2X Essential Review”
A Tale of Two Kitties: How Roxy Opened This Hooman’s Heart
Angela here. You all know the long, tortured story of my unrequited love for Renee’s cat and our blog mascot, Roxy. For as long as I’ve known her, she’s only had eyes for maman–and only hisses for me.

Then Roxy came to live with me for two months while Renee gallivanted in London for work. This post is called A Tale (Tail?) of Two Kitties because there’s the Roxy I thought I knew before and the Roxy I know now. ❤ Continue reading “A Tale of Two Kitties: How Roxy Opened This Hooman’s Heart”
Low pHat Cream: Low pH Cleansers by Earth Science Naturals and Paula’s Choice-Review and Demo

Looking for a gentle and foaming cream cleanser? I’ve been alternating between two great options from Earth Science Naturals and Paula’s Choice lately–both with a low pH between 5.0 and 6.0. (I can’t bring myself to say 5.5 because my strips aren’t that precise, but definitely above 5.0 and below 6.0.) Necks and the City: purpletale Once Upon a Neck Cream Review
Let’s talk about necks, ba-by! Let’s talk about you and me. -Salt-N-Pepa
I don’t think I’m sticking my neck out when I say that most people overlook theirs. Not enough moisture or anti-aging ingredients, and too many lines from looking down at your phone for Neko Atsume updates. (When will I spot Guy Furry?!)
Well, purpletale’s neck cream may be just what giraffe-ter. Continue reading “Necks and the City: purpletale Once Upon a Neck Cream Review”
Muzi-c to My Ears: The Face Shop Natural Sun Eco Baby Mild Sun Cream
While frolicking with Angela in Flushing, Queens, in July, we came across The Face Shop which had the ENTIRE line of The Face Shop x KaKao Friends collection. Not one to hesitate at grabbing ANYTHING cyyyute and yellow, I was immediately drawn to the below.
And yes, I am posting something I saw in July for TWO reasons: I spent July-September in Europe with crappy wi-fi. And I just actually finished the entire tube of this, so the experiment is complete.
