Killin’ It: Clio Waterproof Brush Liner Kill Black & O’Tank Volume Mascara Review

02 Clio Waterproof Brush Liner Kill Black ReviewClio Waterproof Brush Liner in Kill Black is my latest eyeliner love.  It combines the best of everything from my other faves: namely, the precise brush tip and smooth flow of the Physicians Formula Eye Booster Eyeliner and the no-smudge longevity of the Blinc Liquid Eyeliner Pen.

I bought my Clio liner in a special set containing a sample-sized Clio O’Tank Volume Mascara.  It wasn’t a great deal or anything; if I recall correctly, the set is priced a few dollars more than the Clio liner alone, so you are paying for the mascara.  It’s also not a great deal because the mascara was a fat fail, but more on that in a sec.

First, admire the shiny blackness of the liquid liner.  The color and finish is comparable to the Physicians Formula liner in Ultra Black.  The liquid flows easily from the pen with little pressure.

Taking a selfie while holding eyeliner up is so hard, y’all!

It’s also really long-lasting.  See how I’ve applied it right along the inner corner?  That’s usually the first place where I see smudges, but this holds up all day long (12+ hours).

Now for the meh.  The O’Tank Volume Mascara was a clear dud in the curling department as soon as I applied it, making my freshly curled lashes droopYou all know how the inability to hold a curl is a dealbreaker for me.  So into the trash it went.  Tanks, but no tanks!  (In the photo above, I’m wearing Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Volumizing Mascara.)
