Woman in the Iron (ok – silicone) Mask – Daiso Japan Reusable Silicon Mask Cover for Sheet Mask

When I met up with Angela in LA, she was a woman on a mission to Daiso. For those who aren’t familiar, Daiso is a Japanese dollar store where all kinds of housewares are $1.50. It’s highly addictive because many items are made in Japan and of decent quality. It really only exists in Asia and the West Coast. Daiso’s beauty section can be huge and includes awesome stuff like false lashes and this WTF item that A was hunting for:

50 Scent: Biologique Recherche Lotion P50 – A Beginner’s Guide to Buying

Ahhh, the famous Lotion P50 by Biologique Recherche. I’m a sucker for anything that WORKS. Even if it’s crazy expensive ::whimpers:: (And even if it involves needles and anesthesia. Thankfully not at that point yet.)

01 Biologique Recherche P50 Lotion ReviewAfter years of seeing this pop up in various articles and blogs (Emily Weiss, Caroline Hirons, Kerry at Skin & Tonics, and Sheryll at The Wanderlust Project)–all with glowing (haha, get it?) reviews–I finally decided to try it out for myself.

Pork Que! – Tony Moly Pure Farm Pig Collagen Hydrogel Mask

I was ‘bacon’ in the damn New York late July heat wave (96 degrees) and running errands in Chinatown when I was sucked into Tony Moly’s new store on Centre street. Yes, I was sucked into the store because of its marvelous air conditioner. The salesgirl also handed me a fan (you know one of those fans with ads printed on them; they hand them out all over Asia)! Whoohoo!

Immediately I had to grab this. Look at HOWCUTE this is! Please try to forget the “extracted from pig’s skin” print 😦

Pink Aye: Hidemond Pinkblast Super Moisturizing Cream Review

For the past 3 weeks, the Hidemond Pinkblast Super Moisturizing Cream has been my sole cream, day and night, on most days.  (Scroll to the bottom of this post to see it in my various skincare routines.)

01 Hidemond Pinkblast Super Moisturizing Cream ReviewI have the Mild version ($35 for 75g, provided for consideration by Cupidrop), which is the only version available on Cupidrop so far. (Hidemond makes 3 versions: Light, Mild, and Ultra Rich (in order of richness).)  What piqued my interest was the boast of “Deep Nutrition and Contour.”  Darned if I couldn’t use a little contour!

Tan in Bed (Part 2): Vita Liberata Self Tanning Night Moisture Mask Review

Birchbox seems to read my mind whenever I think about quitting. A few boxes ago, I received a deluxe sample of the Vita Liberata Self Tanning Night Moisture Mask ($45 for 2.2 fl. oz.).  Despite my disappointing experience with the Vita Liberata “self-tanning” powder bronzer, I was curious and nonetheless optimistic about the sleeping mask.  I mean, delivering DHA (the self-tanning chemical) in liquid or cream form is quite conventional so there should be no problem with the mask, right?

Stink Tank – Biologique Recherché Masque Vivant

This is the grossest-smelling skin care product in the world. It must be, because I eat durian and stinky tofu like they’re ice cream and I CANNOT stand the smell of this mask. But oh, this mask, it is a miracle product. Read this link about it. I concur with her review:

Angela got me this sample with a warning that it smells like feet. She lied; it smells waaaay worse.  I wasn’t initially fazed because I opened the lid and sniffed what seemed to be a nutty innocuous scent. Mmmmkay. Continue reading “Stink Tank – Biologique Recherché Masque Vivant”

The Last Resort: AmorePacific Resort Collection Sun Protection Cushion and Stick Mini-Review

For the summer, AmorePacific came out with a Resort Collection comprised of sunscreen products.  I came across the Resort Collection Sun Protection Cushion SPF30+ ($40 for 0.52 oz.) and the Resort Collection Sun Protection Stick SPF 50+ ($40 for 0.24 oz.) at Sephora and couldn’t resist testing them out because they were unused testers!  For a beauty addict enthusiast, that’s like stumbling across a winning lottery ticket.  Check out the glam gold and white packaging.

01 AmorePacific Resort Collection Sun Stick and Cushion ReviewUltimately I decided against buying them for reasons I’ll explain below, so these are purely my initial impressions from trying them in the store.
