TonyMoly Kiss Lover Live Tint in #1 Live Pink looks like a gorgeous faintly neon pink coral in the bottle. (It looks like a bright pastel here, but that’s only because my camera couldn’t capture the neon-ness.) The texture is thin and liquidy: slightly heavier than a typical watery lip tint but lighter than some milky lip tints.

As a huge fan of sleeping masks (the convenience! the ease of use! the fact that you can use it a ton of times and still have plenty left in the jar!), I’m thrilled to see that Western brands have picked up on this Korean trend. One of my biggest peeves is red-toned eyebrows. I have dark brown hair with reddish/orange tones in certain lighting, but even then, reddish brows look plain unnatural. I always prefer a cool, ashy brown or taupe. As it is, any color will appear warmer once applied to my warm-toned skin.

The Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation is one of the highest rated foundations on MakeupAlley.com. At $62 it’s also one of the most expensive. And…although I do love it for my skin, it certainly isn’t for everyone. Because it’s too damn sheer for an “HD foundation.” Case in point: look below and tell me which pic is the “foundation” pic:

I’ve been keeping a couple of packets of the Kracie Petit Moi Nail Color Remover sheets in my purse. You know, for nailmergencies like when your polish is shrinking and there’s 1/4-inch of nail showing between your cuticle and the polish.

Fifty shades, give or take 48 shades. Renee gifted me two purrrty purrrple eye shadows: Ben Nye Lumiere Grande Colour in LU-17 Cosmic Violet and Anna Sui Eye Shadow in 207 (link is to the very similar shade 201; couldn’t locate 207 online but it’s at the Anna Sui store). I tried them out today over NYX Eyeshadow Base in White, which I bought with the hope that I’ll now experiment with more colorful eye shadows.
The NYX base can be applied sheerly or built up to opaque coverage. It has a dense creamy consistency and dries down to bright matte white. Ben Nye Cosmic Violet is a pearly pink-toned lavender duochrome with an iridescent blue shift. Anna Sui 207 is a dark blue-violet purple with a satin finish. For those unfamiliar with the “eye hole” item (in terms of cosmetics,) it’s like a mask for your undereye, except you put it right on your brow bone. I got this for about $18.99 for a jar of 120 sheets which include both undereye and brow bone sheets. Last weekend I was at the Pacific Mall in the Toronto, CN area and picked up some nifty new Asian products! I was happy aside from the fact that those salesgirl practically glued themselves to me as I walked from aisle to aisle. Is this some sort of Chinese business practice?

On my neverending quest for glowy K-star skin, I tried Etude House’s Nymph Aura Volumer Baby Glow Stick. Etude House makes various Nymph Aura Volumers in liquid form. (Volumer=makeup that gives a dewy, shiny, plump look. It’s often liquid and can be mixed into liquid foundation and BB cream.)
Since I frequently wear mineral powder foundation and powder over my BB cushion, I thought the stick version would disturb my makeup less than the liquid version.
