Stink Tank – Biologique Recherché Masque Vivant

This is the grossest-smelling skin care product in the world. It must be, because I eat durian and stinky tofu like they’re ice cream and I CANNOT stand the smell of this mask. But oh, this mask, it is a miracle product. Read this link about it. I concur with her review:

Angela got me this sample with a warning that it smells like feet. She lied; it smells waaaay worse.  I wasn’t initially fazed because I opened the lid and sniffed what seemed to be a nutty innocuous scent. Mmmmkay. Continue reading “Stink Tank – Biologique Recherché Masque Vivant”

Koh Gen DO! – In CUSHION form

Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation SPF 15 Cushion is my new magic makeup. What’s that you say? They don’t make cushions? Well, I DO, beeches! Behold the KGD Magic Cushion. Inside a Laneige case. I will explain:

I blew $30 on the Laneige BB Cushion while ignoring the fact that it contains Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate (octinoxate) in abundance for that lovely SPF 50+. Of course I broke out like it was the zombie apocalypse.

Snail Mailed – Cupidrop’s sponsored Lioele Intensive Time Reversing Snail Cream

In the spirit of full disclosure, this Liole Intensive Time Reversing Snail Cream was kindly sent to us by Cupidrop to review. It’s a new website for Asian cosmetics and they have a few promos going on. (I’ve had my eye on this sheep oil cream but that will have to wait…)

However they didn’t manufacture this product NOR does this alter my absolutely real opinion of this product in any way. Come on, we can afford this shit ourselves 🙂 But I gleefully tore open the UPS containing MOARRRR snail cream. But this time, it’s ANTI-AGING!

Roth; it ain’t just a Retirement Plan – Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral Broad Spectrum SPF 45 Sunscreen

After being darkened to level “crispy” in Vegas I have been ever so thankful for good face sunscreen. And I can’t just take any face sunscreen, peasants. I have an allergic reaction that develops into measle-like rashes at one droplet of any chemical sunscreens. You can imagine the dilemma of being allergic to sunscreen in the summer. Voila! Mineral/physical barrier sunscreen to the rescue!

Dewin’ It – Dewytree Ginseng Nutritious Black Sheet Mask

Don’t mind if I ‘dew’ another sheet mask review. I have bazillions of them in the fridge and it’s almost part of my nightly routine now that I’m traveling and being dehydrated so much. During the last LA trip, I dropped 40 bones on a box of 10 sheet masks thanks to this beckoning sign advertising the NEW dew product:

It’s really just like any other sheet mask. I don’t know what’s the deal with the popular new black fabric but maybe if I read Korean perhaps I can understand any claims regarding the virtues of the black mask (cue Rachel Dolezal).

Bee Mine – Ciel Bijou Bee Venom Maskpack

I don’t remember when A and I started our beauty care package but it is a fabulous ad-hoc friendship subscription service that doesn’t charge a subscription fee AND ultra exclusive to just two members. It’s full of the latest (or classic) beauty items curated by two of the hottest self-crowned beauty queens on the East Coast.

We call it…THE ROX BOX. I got mine today:

I was immediately drawn to the mask with kittens on the cover, and this “white power” face essence, but more on that later…

My first product to review out of the box was the mask with a Victorian-themed Marie Antoinette figure on the cover:

Just Call Me Kar-LASHian – Lash Extension Procedure

As an…extension of my “natural” beauty that can’t be wiped with a Kleenex, I got my eyelashes done today. Usually I use false lashes that would make drag queens jealous, but my friend recommended a lady that only costs $80 who makes house calls! Compared to my usual $140 plus tip at the salons, this was a bargain I couldn’t resist. Plus my friend’s pics looked amazing. So here I give you….my big lashes that could compete with a certain reality star.

That’s What Shea Said – Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Reconstructive Finishing Elixir

“Shea” ain’t sh!t I used to think. No that’s not true; I’ve always been a fan of raw Shea butter ever since I bought a tub of that stuff from these Ghanese guys at a flea market stand in Austin, TX. It’s only second to my love of horse fat. But back to Shea…here is my new enthusiasm:

Tattly Tale – My Tattooed Beauty

I made a joke that you can wipe off my beauty with a Kleenex. Well now bitch you can’t! Cuz I gots me tattoos.

Ok I’ve had brow tattoos before young women nowadays even got into it, when the non-angry-Asian-lady-blue-eyebrow was newly imported technology from Asia. I’ve had brow tattoos for 10 years! But I’ve added eyeliner as well. For a better blog post about this, refer to http://xliciousgirl.com/2013/05/semi-permanent-eyeliner-by-sherri-makeup/

UPDATE Jan. 2016: Angela posted about her experience getting brow tattoos for the first time.

But for immediately satisfying pictures, look at this:
